Having not lived with my parents for a few years now…it’s been an interesting adjustment for me and them during this temporary period. It’s jokes some days and other days can be…… revealing… to say the least. Once a man twice a child – this statement is definitely true!! Getting ole aint easy. I can see it as my parents slow down and change the way they do and process things. They’re too cute, but can also be quite demanding.
Would I change it for the world? Nope!! These are the people that brought me into this world and I am thankful to them for my life. At some point in time they shared a lot of love and intimate moments to make my siblings and me. They brought us to life and well…no matter who or what you’re parents are or have been, be thankful. If they were awful to you don’t hold the anger and use that as a path for your life. Make your own path. Pray to God and make peace within yourself. Use it as a stepping stone for how you will be better. If you had great parents, who worked hard to provide for you…thank God for the foundation they laid in front of you and the values they taught you. No one is perfect. But your parents tried. Regardless of what.
And with that thought I share with you my joke of the day. Basically it’s about how I woke up this morning – yes…. “I woke up like this…I woke up like this!” Lol.
Despite being annoyed I know these little moments in time are ones I will cherish forever and laugh….
Why is it when you’re home sick that’s the time your parent(s) decide they want to:
1. Wake you up early! I am so use to 5am so 8am is a luxury for me! For the love of God let me sleep!
2. Talk to you when you’re still half alseep – I can’t remember what I said. I probably promised my first child to the devil!
3. Make the statement, “you’re sick take something!” 😐 Dude that’s why I’m still sleeping in at 9am! I did take something!!! I’m all drugged up….and sleeping! HELLERRR!
4. Decide that they have to go out and you need to get up SHORTLY (which means now) to drive them – SMDH…. can’t catch a break…never a dull moment in my house! LOL!!
