The New Year…a time of reflection on the past year and a plan going forward for the new. We often make resolutions that we (for the most part) don’t end up keeping. It’s a joke really. However, some of us are able to stick with the few small promises we make to ourselves. That’s the thing….make them small.
As I sit here writing this blog, I have no real resolutions for myself expect for keeping on the path I am on and making my life better as much as I can every time I open my eyes. I thank God for the people and family in my life. I thank God for the many blessings bestowed on me. I thank God for waking up in the morning and giving me the opportunity to open my eyes, yet again. I think we all need to thank that higher being (whoever he/she is for you) and just thank him/her for these simple things no matter how bad or how good things are going for you.
My advice for New Years 2014? Keep looking up. Never look down. Time to make your life better than last year. Make different choices. Conquer your fears. Look fear it’s it eye and say I WILL OVERCOME… you can’t control me!!!!
The New Year is always about making a clean slate. So….make it clean enough that you will try your best to stick to it. K.I.S.S. – keep it simple stupid! It doesn’t always have to be a grandiose resolution. Make it simple, small and realistic.
Happy New Year to you all. May the sorrows of 2013 turn into the joys of 2014. May the happiness you did have in 2013 carry over into new and exciting journeys of 2014.
If you’re going out to party be safe, drive safe and please DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.
If you’re staying home with loved ones, enjoy all the same 🙂
